£4.5m Rated Israeli Ace Speaks Out Amid Interest From Celtic

Wolfsberger striker Shon Weissman says he won’t make any comments about his future before the end of the Austrian league season.

Celtic are said to be lining up the Israeli international as a possible replacement for Odsonne Edouard, who has been heavily linked with a switch to Arsenal this summer.

However, Weissman is keen to concentrate on his football, leaving his agent to deal with any potential interest:

“I want to concentrate only on the end of the season at the club. We have eight games to go and I’ve told my agent I don’t want to hear anything about the speculation. I don’t care.”

It has been reported that the 24-year-old could cost as much as £4.5m, but his goal record in Austria this campaign is seriously impressive, having scored 31 goals in 33 appearances.

Weissman’s agent has, though, indicated that while there have been offers for the player, the forward would much prefer to move to either Germany or England.

Celtic may well be able to tempt him with the prospect of the Champions League football, although any offer will be dependent on what happens with Edouard.
