Celtic fans were mostly delighted with their team’s victory over Ross County at the weekend – despite this, certain subsections of the fanbase took issue with the overall performance.
Celtic were certainly a step below their usual standards against the Staggies. Nevertheless, they did what they needed to do to get the three points and take one step closer to the Scottish Premiership title.
In the game against Ross County, Celtic were victorious by a score of 2-0. County were lively and perhaps should have had a penalty – but goals from Jota and Alexandro Bernabei gave the Celts the three points.
A huge win, Iwata was very good. Fair play to Ross County who gave it a go all the second half but a great strike from Bernabei seals the points

Serious improvement required. Jota was slack in possession, O’riley was his usual powderpuff self and Kyogo missed a ridiculous sitter.
That level of display is standard for O’riley. An imposter.— Eddie van Haksa (@HaksaVan) April 2, 2023
Well played champions dubious penalty but held it together with some great attacking football got the rewards with a stunning 2nd goal at the end to seal it 🍀🍀🍀 treble awaits we never stop 🍀🍀🍀

Some below par performances there. Great to see subs coming in and having positive impact again. Think O’Reilly needs sitting out for Haksa going forward now until we get a good few or he remembers he’d be in Milton Keynes without us.

A good three points. Take the two best midfielders out of any team and they will not be at their best.

Absolutely brutal performances from some today. I hope they’re keeping the final passes for next week as some of the attempts were abysmal

Bhoys fans seemed to come to a general consensus that their team did not play to the peak of their abilities against Ross County. Nevertheless, Celtic were able to come away with the win, despite being below their usual standards.
Matt O’Riley was singled out for his poor performance – his passing was subpar throughout the game. However, Tomoki Iwata was given plaudits by the Celts massive for his tireless display.
Celtic’s next game will be against their greatest rivals, Rangers, on Saturday, April 8. They will need to turn in a better performance against the Gers – or they risk suffering humiliation in the Old Firm derby.
