“Already Exploring This Possibility…” Romano Confirms EPL Clubs Have Begun Pursuing 6M Celtic Star

Celtic centre-back Cameron Carter-Vickers is attracting interest from English Premier League teams, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.

The American international only joined the Hoops from Tottenham on a permanent basis for £6m last year but Romano claims clubs south of the border are actively pursuing the player ahead of the summer:

“I’m told some Premier League clubs are already exploring this possibility. Of course, he knows Premier League football so it could be a possibility in the summer but Celtic will try their best to keep their players.”

As Romano says, Celtic will do everything in their power to retain the services of Carter-Vickers, but the defender could still be tempted if an attractive enough offer comes his way.

The 25-year-old reportedly rejected the advances of Bournemouth, Everton, Fulham and Southampton before he sealed his switch to the Scottish champions, so it doesn’t appear as if he would be interested in joining a Premier League side in the bottom half of the table.

If a team playing in Europe does come in for Carter-Vickers, though, it could become difficult to keep the centre-half at Celtic Park.
