Anthony Joseph Makes “Premier League Interest” Claim As He Assesses Future Of 20M Rated Celtic Star

Celtic midfielder Matt O’Riley is expected to garner a lot of “Premier League interest”, according to Sky Sports journalist Anthony Joseph.

While the reporter does emphasise that he is only speculating about the Danish Under 21 international’s future, he anticipates that a number of English teams will be pursuing the player’s signature:

“It’s only going to stand him in good stead. Clubs are going to be all over him, and knowing that he started his career in England, will try to bring him back to England. So, I can only speculate, but I think there’ll be a lot of Premier League interest for O’Riley arriving as well.”

O’Riley arrived at Celtic Park after the Hoops paid MK Dons just £1.5m for the midfielder last January but it looks as if the Scottish champions may demand at least ten times that amount if a club comes calling in the New Year.

Reports indicate that Ange Postecoglou’s side have slapped a valuation of around £15m to £20m on the 21-year-old, who has been scouted by a number of teams in recent months.

Crystal Palace, Newcastle and Leicester have all watched O’Riley over the past few weeks, while the likes of Arsenal, Manchester United, Liverpool and even Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund have also been mentioned as potential suitors.
