Arsenal ‘Very Keen’ On Celtic Marksman As They Plan For Life Without Aubameyang And Lacazette

Arsenal are “very keen” on signing Celtic striker Odsonne Edouard if they sell either Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang or Alexandre Lacazette this summer, according to Bleacher Report.

The Gunners are said to be looking around the transfer market for potential options if their current forward line is disbanded, with Edouard one of three names on the London club’s list of targets.

Former Celtic forward Moussa Dembele is also being considered, along with Real Madrid’s Luka Jovic but at this stage, it is thought that Mikel Arteta’s side are not actively pursuing one specific striker.

Were Arsenal to step up their interest in Edouard, though, Celtic are unlikely to be open to any sale. The Scottish champions are firmly focused on securing ten league titles in a row, and losing their number nine on the eve of such a crucial campaign would be unthinkable.

Last month it was reported that talks were underway between the player and the club about a new contract, although there has been no news on progress since then.
