Arsenal’s Rival For Kieran Tierney Could Be About To Pull Out

Napoli may not make a bid for Celtic left-back Kieran Tierney this summer, according to reports in the Italian media.

The Scottish international was reportedly being lined up to replace Mario Rui at the San Paolo stadium, but the Portuguese fullback is now expected to stay put.

Rui has been the subject of interest from both Torino and Benfica but it appears that Napoli boss Carlo Ancelotti has decided to keep the 28-year-old.

With the Serie A side already having Faouzi Ghoulam as their other option at left-back, it would make it highly unlikely that the club would also go after Tierney.

There had been talk that Napoli would enter the fray and table a bid higher than Arsenal, but it seems the Gunners will now be the only team in the running for the 22-year-old.

The Premier League club have already had two bids rejected for the defender, but they are expected to return with a third offer.
