Bolingoli Tips Celtic Teammate To Emulate Romelu Lukaku After Superb Recent Form

Celtic left-back Boli Bolingoli has backed teammate Odsonne Edouard to emulate his cousin, Inter Milan and ex-Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku.

The Frenchman scored at the weekend in the 6-0 win over Ross County, and Bolingoli believes the forward has all of the attributes to become one of the best number nines in the world:

“For sure he can go to the level of Romelu – Odsonne is still young and still progressing but in time he can become a big striker in the football world.”

Edouard has been in red-hot form over the past couple of weeks. After scoring five in two games for France’s Under 21s, he came back to bag a goal and an assist on his return to club action.

With the Hoops facing Lazio at Celtic Park in the Europa League on Thursday, fans will be hoping he can continue his hot streak in front of goal and help Neil Lennon’s side to make it seven points from their first three games in the group.

Ahead of the fixture, Celtic will have Ryan Christie back from suspension, while Olivier Ntcham should be back in contention after injuring his ankle in training last week.
