Brother Of Celtic Target Reveals Announcement Will Be Made About His Future ‘In Two Or Three Days’.

The brother of Tottenham midfielder Victor Wanyama has confirmed that an announcement on the 28-year-old’s future will be made in the next few days.

The former Celtic player has played just once under Spurs manager Jose Mourinho and there had been reports last month that he could be released from his contract at the Premier League side.

Harry Wanyama says that not only will there be more news about his brother very soon, but that the player’s agent could even announce his next destination:

“Victor’s agent Ivan Modia will announce whether he will be leaving Spurs or not and which club. He is to make the announcement in two or three days.”

Hoops boss Neil Lennon has expressed an interest in re-signing Wanyama in recent months but it was hinted that the Kenyan’s wage demands may prove a significant obstacle to any deal going ahead.

Celtic’s decision to sign Ismaila Soro in the January transfer window also reduced the likelihood of the Scottish champions signing another midfielder, but they may have reconsidered if he is available on a free transfer.
