Celtic Are Interested In Signing SECOND Former England International Goalkeeper

Celtic hold an interest in signing Watford’s veteran goalkeeper Ben Foster, according to reports in the English media.

The Hoops are already in negotiations with Tottenham about a deal for Joe Hart as they look for a new number one, but it appears they have a backup plan in the form of another former England international.

Foster is 38 years of age, four years older than Hart, but he has been a regular starter for Watford during his three years at Vicarage Road.

The shot-stopper did, however, pick up an injury back in January which kept him out for the best part of two months, and on his return, he was unable to regain his place from Daniel Bachmann.

If the Austrian international remains ahead of him in the pecking order once the new season kicks off next month, Foster may well be open to moving clubs.

To be honest, Celtic supporters will probably be happy with either Hart or Foster, considering the poor form shown by the likes of Vasilis Barkas and Scott Bain.
