Celtic Boost As Four Injury Doubts Are Named In Celtic Squad For Cup Final

Odsonne Edouard, Mohamed Elyounoussi, Boli Bolingoli and Jonny Hayes have all been named in Celtic’s provisional 21-man squad for the Betfred Cup final against Rangers tomorrow.

While Elyounoussi, Bolingoli and Hayes were expected to be fit, there have been more doubts over Edouard after the Frenchman failed to feature in the club’s last three games.

Hoops boss Neil Lennon says they won’t take any chances with the 21-year-old, but his inclusion in the squad does indicate that he will at least make the bench at Hampden Park.

Edouard is Celtic’s second top goalscorer this season on 13 goals, and while the Scottish champions have managed to cope pretty well without him, scoring nine goals in their last three games, having their main striker back for such a huge game would be a massive boost.

If he is unable to start, Lennon could call upon either Leigh Griffiths or Lewis Morgan, but Vakoun Issouf Bayo is not in the squad to face Rangers.
