Celtic Consider Reigniting Bid For Ghanaian Ace After Club Make Him Available For Transfer

Celtic are keeping tabs on Alaves winger Patrick Twumasi, according to reports.

It is believed the Hoops may revive their interest in the Ghanaian international, after failing in their attempts to sign him last summer.

Twumasi joined Alaves from Astana instead for €3m on a four-year deal but he has struggled to establish himself in Spain.

The 25-year-old made 13 appearances in all competitions last season but did not score or create a goal. It must be said, though, that he didn’t make a single start.

Alaves manager Abelardo barely used Twumasi in the opening months of the campaign, but he began regularly featuring in matchday squads in the final two months of the season.

He made substitute appearances in eight of the last ten league games, mostly as 10 to 15 minutes cameos on the right wing.

Celtic will, however, face some competition for Twumasi from Danish outfit FC Copenhagen with Alaves willing to listen to offers.
