Celtic Eye January Deal For £3m Rated Ivorian As Scouts Watch Midfielder In Action

Celtic have sent scouts to watch Bnei Yehuda midfielder Ismaila Soro, according to the Scottish Sun. The Ivorian is reportedly one of “several” players that the Hoops have been monitoring ahead of the January transfer window.

Despite the Scottish club having a number of central midfielders in the squad, including Scott Brown, Callum McGregor, Olivier Ntcham and Nir Bitton, it appears they are considering strengthening that area of the pitch.

Eboue Kouassi has been linked with a move away from the club in January and that may explain why Soro would be seen as a possible target.

The 21-year-old is already well-travelled in his career, having had spells in Moldova and Belarus before making the switch to Israel in January 2018. He could be available for £3m when the window reopens.

Soro is one of a number of players Head of Football Operations Nick Hammond is said to be looking at. Many Celtic supporters will be hoping that Victor Wanyama‘s name will be included on his list as well.
