Celtic Eyeing Move For 8M Rated ‘Wonderkid’ With Postecoglou Already Drawing Up January Recruitment Plans

Celtic are considering making a bid for Israeli “wonderkid” Oscar Gloukh in January, according to the Daily Record.

Manager Ange Postecoglou has suggested that the next transfer window is likely to be busier than usual as it comes right after the World Cup and the Australian seemingly has plans to add more players to his squad.

Gloukh has reportedly been scouted by the Scottish champions, with the 18-year-old having been in impressive form for Maccabi Tel Aviv this season, scoring three goals and providing four assists in nine appearances.

He is an attacking midfielder by trade, which isn’t exactly an area of the pitch where the Hoops are short of options, with the likes of Matt O’Riley, David Turnbull and Sead Haksabanovic already at the club.

However, Gloukh is a player who is likely to be in high demand. He has also been linked with Rangers so Celtic may need to move fast in order to secure the teenager’s signature. The Daily Record claim he could cost as much as £8m.
