Celtic Given Huge Injury Boost Ahead Of Europa League Tie

Celtic left-back Greg Taylor looks to be winning his fitness battle to face FC Copenhagen in the Europa League tomorrow evening.

The 22-year-old had to be substituted in the 2-1 win against Aberdeen on Sunday, having to be replaced by Jonny Hayes just 25 minutes into the game at Pittodrie.

After the match, manager Neil Lennon raised concerns about the player’s fitness, indicating he may miss out against Copenhagen, but the Hoops have shared pictures on their official Instagram account showing Taylor going through training drills with the rest of the squad today.

The Scottish international has been a prominent figure in recent weeks, having made the left wingback role his own after Celtic switched to a 3-5-2 formation.

Whether Taylor has done enough to prove his fitness so he can start in Denmark, we shall have to wait and see, but it does appear his injury was less serious than originally feared.
