Celtic Handed Major Boost After Key Man Returns To Form With Brace For His Country

Celtic striker Odsonne Edouard bagged himself two goals as France Under 21s ran out 3-1 winners against Switzerland last night.

The 22-year-old had been struggling for form before yesterday’s game, having scored just once in the league since the opening day win against Hamilton Academical back in August.

Speculation over Edouard’s future has grown in recent weeks, with many supporters questioning whether he is still committed to the club following his recent dip in performances.

However, the player himself has always been adamant that he is not focused on leaving Celtic Park, although he has admitted to harbouring ambitions of playing in a bigger league.

With Edouard yet to sign a new contract, though, and with the player’s current deal expiring in just over 18 months time, it is believed that the Frenchman will be sold next summer unless an extension is agreed. The likes of Arsenal, Crystal Palace and Aston Villa are thought to be the striker’s main suitors.
