Celtic Intend To Buy TWO Strikers This Month As Lennon Looks To Bolster Squad

Celtic will try to buy two strikers in the January transfer window, according to the Sunday Post. The newspaper claims manager Neil Lennon wants to add extra firepower to the squad to help out Odsonne Edouard.

It is said that Slovan Bratislava’s Andraz Sporar and Sheffield United’s Billy Sharp are the Hoops’ two main targets at the moment.

The move for Sporar has already been confirmed by Lennon, but talks are being complicated by both the Slovenian’s £5m asking price, and interest from rival clubs.

With regards to Sharp, the 33-year-old is the Blades’ club captain and manager Chris Wilder is adamant that the player will not be leaving Bramall Lane in January.

Much may depend on the player, and whether he is looking for more first-team football. The Englishman is currently behind Lys Mousset, David McGoldrick and Oli McBurnie in the pecking order at the English Premier League outfit.
