Celtic have had the ninth-best average attendance in the whole of Europe since the beginning of the 21st century, according to PopFoot.

The Hoops have averaged 51,802 fans which is only bettered by Borussia Dortmund, Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Schalke, Arsenal and Inter Milan. See the full list below:

The Scottish champions came close to being even higher on the list, with Inter Milan’s average just 51 above them, but it is still an excellent position considering the calibre of the other teams.

Being listed above European giants such as AC Milan and Liverpool is quite some achievement but Celtic’s support has always been among the best in Europe and this ranking demonstrates the fans’ commitment to watching their team play week in, week out
