Celtic Loanee Could Be Offered To Southampton In Deal To Secure 38M Rated Teenage Sensation

Tottenham may offer Celtic loanee Cameron Carter-Vickers in their bid to land Southampton right-back Tino Livramento, according to reports in the English media.

Spurs are said to be pursuing the teenager, who only joined the Saints from Chelsea for £5m during the summer transfer window. The Blues are said to have a £38m buyback option on the defender but that only comes into effect in 2023.

With that in mind, Tottenham could make a bid for Livramento this summer, and it is said they could offer a part-exchange with either Carter-Vickers or Harry Winks going the other way to sweeten the deal.

There is one BIG issue with this report. Celtic do have the option to buy Carter-Vickers, pending the approval of the player. It is, therefore, very unlikely that Spurs would consider using the centre-back in any swap.

The one scenario where that could be possible is if the Hoops decide against signing Carter-Vickers or if the American international opts against moving to Scotland permanently.
