Celtic Look To Step Up Chase For £5m Rated Target After Third Club Joins Battle

Celtic are expected to hold further talks with Slovan Bratislava about signing striker Andraz Sporar, according to reports in the Scottish media.

It is believed English Championship side Bristol City have now joined Dynamo Kiev and the Hoops in the race to sign the Slovenian international during the January transfer window.

Slovan are said to be holding out for around £5m, while Dynamo have already placed a bid of around £3.5m for Sporar.

The interest from Bristol City will add further pressure with the Robins keen on signing a new forward this month. It remains to be seen, though, whether they have the cash to compete for the 25-year-old, with the English side originally looking to sign a player on loan.

Celtic are very keen on strengthening their frontline, with Odsonne Edouard having played the baulk of games this season. Sporar could take some of the workload off the Frenchman, having scored 20 goals in 26 appearances for his club this campaign.
