Celtic May Only Get £4m From The Sale Of United And Chelsea Target

Celtic would only be due £4m if Lyon sell Moussa Dembele for £60m when the transfer window reopens, according to the Scottish Sun.

The Hoops reportedly had a 10% sell-on clause as a part of their agreement to sell the forward to Lyon back in 2018, but it seems it will be closer to 7%.

Manchester United appear to be favourites to land Dembele after reports in England suggested that the Frenchman prefers a move to Old Trafford ahead of the likes of Chelsea.

Barcelona are also now said to be keen on the 23-year-old, who scored 22 goals in all competitions before the French League season was ended prematurely.

Dembele is likely to be sold by Lyon due to the fact that the French club missed out on European football entirely due to league positions being awarded on a points per game basis.

The financial shortfall means the forward will be available, although it remains to be seen whether a club will match their asking price.
