Celtic winger James Forrest sealed a 3-1 victory as Brendan Rodgers’ side came from 1-0 down at McDiarmid Park on Sunday.
The Hoops were far from their best but Forrest showed that he can still contribute to the team despite being 32 years of age.
Supporters on X were very impressed with the composure and technique that Forrest showed for his goal at the weekend:

Forrest has been making some important contributions from the bench
While it seems like his days as a regular starter for Celtic are over, it’s the second time in the last four league games that Forrest has popped up with a goal.
Almost immediately after coming on as a substittue against Ross County last month, he scored to wrap up a 3-0 win.
He deserves praise for what he has achieved at Celtic
The winger now has 104 goals and 101 assists in 479 appearances for the Hoops. That means he averages a goal involvement every 2.33 games. For a winger, that is a very respectable return.
Combined with the fact that Forrest is a one-club man, and has won 25 major honours (including 11 Scottish Premiership titles) since he made his senior debut back in 2010, he warrants more recognition for his achievements.
