‘Fair Play To Him’ ‘Baller’ Fans Praise Celtic Player Who ‘Changed The Game’ Against Motherwell

Celtic winger Yang Hyun-jun came on as a substitute and got himself an assist during the 3-1 win over Motherwell at the weekend.

The South Korean’s direct running and tendency to cross the ball into dangerous areas gave the Hoops the extra dimension they needed at Fir Park.

Fans on X praised Yang after the final whistle, with some calling on manager Brendan Rodgers to start him in upcoming fixtures:

Yang could solve Celtic’s issue in wide areas

Neither Nicolas Kuhn nor Daizen Maeda performed particularly well against Motherwell. Both players were rather anonymous and didn’t really cause the opposition defence a lot of problems.

Maeda did have one chance at the back post that he should have done better with but, as we have seen time and time again from the Japanese international, he isn’t the best finisher.

Yang’s directness and willingness to take on a man means he is worthy of more starting opportunities, especially as others are not stepping up to the plate.

The reigning champions need to improve

Even though they did seal a last-gasp win on Sunday, the Hoops’ recent performances have been very concerning. They could have slipped 5 points behind Rangers if they hadn’t managed the late turnaround.

Rodgers needs to change things up and starting players like Yang is one solution that many supporters are hoping that he considers.
