Celtic no.1 target coy on rumours

Celtic target Liam Moore has insisted he is ignoring growing speculation that has linked him with a January move to the Hoops.

The 24-year-old defender is one of the highest rated centre backs in the Championship with Reading, and has attracted a lot of attention off many clubs so far this season.

He is said to be at the top of Brendan Rodgers’ January wishlist for the upcoming transfer window, with the boss hoping to bolster his defensive options.

Despite Reading manager Jaap Stam saying the defender will not be sold last week, it is reported that he could be interested in a move, with Reading struggling in the bottom half of the table currently.

Regardless though, Moore insists he’s happy with life at Reading, and is ignoring growing reports of interest from the Scottish champions.

He told the Reading Chronicle: “I just try and concentrate on my job. I’m just happy playing football.

“I always have in the back of my mind those times when I wasn’t getting any game time.

“That was only two years ago now, I’m lucky and thankful to be here doing what I’m doing and playing games.

“Speculation comes and so be it, it’s part of the job.”
