Celtic Now Confident 27 Goal Poacher Will Snub Interest From England And Sign On The Dotted Line

Celtic are increasingly confident that Odsonne Edouard will sign a contract extension and snub interest from England, according to reports in the UK.

The Frenchman has been heavily linked with Crystal Palace, Leicester and Arsenal in recent months but the Hoops are said to be encouraged by the positive discussions they have had with the player and his agent over a new deal.

Edouard’s current contract expires in 2022 and so while an extension is not necessarily urgent, getting the 22-year-old to commit his long-term future to the Scottish champions would rule out a possible sale this summer.

There had been claims that Celtic may consider selling the 27-goal forward for just £25m due to the financial impact of the global health crisis.

However, it appears that with progress being made over a new deal, Edouard is looking likely to stay and play an important part in the club’s attempts to win ten league titles in a row.
