Celtic Now Face Strong Challenge From EPL Club In Race To Land 3M Rated Forward

Fulham have stepped up their interest in Peterborough forward Siriki Dembele, with the Cottagers having sent scouts to watch the 24-year-old in action yesterday, according to reports in the UK.

Celtic, Rangers and a host of English teams, such as Crystal Palace and Wolves, have been linked with the players in recent months, with his club expected to demand £3m for his services at the end of the season.

Dembele originally handed in a transfer request during the January transfer window, only to withdraw it once he was promised that he would be allowed to leave in the summer.

The forward is Karamoko Dembele’s older brother so whether that connection could help the Hoops win the race ahead of Fulham for his signature, we shall have to wait and see.

For Peterborough this season, Dembele has scored 12 goals and provided 12 assists in 45 appearances. He was on the scoresheet once again yesterday, helping the Posh secure promotion from League One after drawing 3-3 with Lincoln City.
