Celtic Offered Hope Of A Big Transfer Windfall As Arsenal Join List Of “Europe’s Biggest Clubs” Pursuing 20M Deal

Arsenal are drawing up plans to make a bid for Celtic forward Odsonne Edouard this summer, according to the Daily Telegraph.

The newspaper claims the Gunners will join Leicester and a number of “Europe’s biggest clubs” in a battle to sign the France Under 21 international.

It was only a couple of weeks ago when it was suggested that the Hoops were struggling to find suitors willing to make an offer for Edouard but it seems there are now a whole host of teams willing to bid for the 23-year-old.

With just one year remaining on his contract, Celtic will be keen to get the most they can for the striker. Edouard is not willing to extend his current deal at Parkhead so there will be pressure to sell him on.

The Telegraph suggests an asking price between £15m and £20m but the Scottish side may be hoping for more if there is enough competition for the player’s signature.
