Celtic Poised To Seal Second Loan Signing Of Transfer Window With Deal For Exciting American Teenager

Celtic will sign Timothy Weah on loan for the rest of the season from Paris Saint-Germain, according to reports in Scotland.

The teenager is believed to be flying out to Dubai today to join up with his new teammates ahead of the deal being confirmed.

Weah has reportedly been given a new contract by PSG before being loaned out to the Hoops. The 18-year-old is the son of AC Milan legend George Weah, and has been making his way through the youth ranks of the French club over the past few years.

He is already an American international, after being born in New York City, and he started this campaign in impressive fashion for PSG’s first team.

He scored a goal in the French Super Cup against Monaco back in August and followed that up with another in the 3-0 win over Caen on the opening day of the Ligue One season. However, since then, he has been used sparingly by manager Thomas Tuchel.

If his move to Celtic Park is finalised, the forward will join up with another new recruit after the Scottish champions announced on Saturday that Oli Burke had signed on loan from West Brom for the remainder of the campaign.
