Celtic Secure Four Signings Before Transfer Window Shuts

Outside of Celtic Park

Celtic finally got the right-back they had been looking for all January after they confirmed they had secured Borussia Dortmund fullback Jeremy Toljan on loan for the rest of the season.

Germany Under 21 international was, however, only one of four signings that were confirmed before the January transfer window shut.

Maryan Shved also completed a £1.75m move from Karpaty Lviv but the winger will return to the Ukrainian club on loan for the rest of the season despite signing a four and a half year deal at Celtic Park.

The Hoops also secured two American defenders on three and a half year contracts, and like Shved, they have also been loaned back out straight away, to teams in the United States.

19-year-old Manny Perez has signed from North Carolina State University after impressing on a trial last month. 22-year-old Andrew Gutman has also been snapped up from Indiana Hoosiers.
