Celtic Set To Battle Newcastle For Two Irish Internationals Who Are Available For Nothing

Celtic are interested in Burnley duo Jeff Hendrick and Robbie Brady, according to TEAMtalk. The website claims that the Hoops and Newcastle are both keeping tabs on the two Irish internationals.

As things stand, the two players will be available on free transfers come July 1st with both having run down their contracts into the final three months.

Brady has been at Burnley since making the £13m move from Norwich City over three years ago, but he has struggled for form and fitness over the past two years, having made just five league starts for the Clarets this season.

Hendrick’s situation is slightly different with manager Sean Dyche having confirmed last month that the English club are in talks about a contract extension.

The midfielder has made 24 starts in all competitions this campaign, but there is said to be strong interest from other Premier League teams, in addition to Newcastle.
