Celtic Set To Break Own Record With £25m+ Sponsorship Deal

Celtic are set to sign a record deal with kit supplier Adidas, according to the Daily Record. The Hoops’ current contract with New Balance will come to an end in the summer and the Scottish champions look likely to switch manufacturer.

The club’s current deal is believed to be worth around £25m but it is said that the new agreement will exceed that figure, breaking the record they set with their New Balance contract.

It is currently not known how long the new deal with Adidas will last but the Daily Record report that it will be for the “long-term” and that talks are ongoing regarding the finer details.

Adidas currently make kits for the likes of Real Madrid and Manchester United, and Celtic’s association with the globally known brand will not only help them financially but ensure that their kits can be distributed right around the world.

Celtic are expected to begin wearing the new Adidas shirts from the beginning of the 2020/21 campaign.
