Celtic have decided to cut midfielder Olivier Ntcham’s asking price from £12m to £7m, according to reports in the UK.
The 24-year-old has struggled for form this season and, with the player now inside the final 18 months of his contract at Parkhead, the Hoops have opted to cut their losses on him.
Whether the £5m price cut will encourage any club to make an offer for Ntcham before the January transfer window closes, we shall have to wait and see.
Southampton and West Brom are said to be the two Premier League teams likeliest to make an offer for the Frenchman, but a return to France is also a possibility.
The financial impact of the global health crisis means there isn’t a great deal of money splashing around in the transfer market currently and it looks as though Celtic are prepared to take a bit of a hit on Ntcham in order to get the midfielder off their books.
