Celtic Star Is Expected To Finalise His Departure From The Club In The Next 24 Hours

An agreement to sell Celtic attacking midfielder Tom Rogic to an unnamed Qatari club is expected to be finalised in the next 24 hours, according to reports in England.

The Australian international has struggled for matches at the start of this season, having failed to even make the bench for the 1-1 draw against Kilmarnock in the Hoops’ last league game.

It is believed Rogic will be sold for a fee in the region of £4m, which is a fair amount considering that the 27-year-old has struggled with knee and ankle problems over the past couple of years.

Since the 2018/19 season, the midfielder’s game time has gradually diminished, having started just six league matches last campaign before the season was curtailed.

It will be interesting to see whether Celtic go into the market to replace Rogic. The Scottish champions have been linked with Motherwell’s David Turnbull once again and, if the 21-year-old were to be signed, Lennon could utilise Callum McGregor in a more advanced role.
