Celtic Star Leaves Agent As Speculation Mounts Over £18m Italy Move

Outside of Celtic Park

Celtic centre-back Kristoffer Ajer has ended his association with his agent Tore Pedersen, prompting further speculation about the Norwegian’s future.

Pedersen was the person who publicly stated back in March that the defender wanted to leave the Hoops but the split between the pair may not make it likelier that he’ll stay in Scotland.

Reports in Italy suggest Ajer has moved to a new agency called SEG, which has clients in Italy and France, including Atalanta’s Robin Gosens, Roma’s Rick Karsdorp and Lyon’s Memphis Depay.

Although that doesn’t necessarily mean the 22-year-old is looking to secure himself a transfer away from Celtic, there are claims that AC Milan, in particular, are ready to make a move.

Along with Leicester and Paris Saint-Germain, the Rossoneri are believed to keen on snapping up Ajer, who could be available for €18m (£16m) to €20m (£18m).

It is thought that club director Hendrik Almstadt has been tasked by CEO Ivan Gazidis to secure a deal for the Celtic player.
