Celtic left-back Greg Taylor says he is trying to be patient about his lack of game time since his move from Kilmarnock in September.

The 22-year-old has played just one match following his £3m arrival and when asked about his playing situation whilst on international duty, the fullback said he understands that he’ll need to bide his time at such a big club:

“Obviously it’s not been ideal not playing as much as I would have liked, but you have just got to be patient. It’s a massive club I’m at. And I enjoyed my 90 minutes.”

Taylor isn’t having any trouble getting minutes at international level for Scotland. He played the full 90 minutes in the Euro 2020 qualifier versus Cyprus on Saturday.

It was a productive afternoon for the defender, as well, having provided the assist for John McGinn’s winning goal eight minutes into the second half.

It must be said, though, that both Andy Robertson and Kieran Tierney were absent through injury, but Taylor did give a good account of himself at the weekend. He will likely play a prominent role once again when Scotland play Kazakhstan tomorrow evening.
