Celtic Tipped To Receive 7.5M Windfall If Former Player Makes Shock La Liga Switch

Outside of Celtic Park

Celtic could receive £7.5m if Arsenal do sell Kieran Tierney to Real Madrid this summer, according to the Scottish Sun.

Reports in Spain claim the 24-year-old is a target for 13-time European Cup winners, and it is suggested that the fullback could be offloaded if a bid of around £50m is received.

With Celtic having a 15% sell-on clause on Tierney, that would work out at around £7.5m for the Hoops, but it must be said that the £50m figure quoted is highly speculative.

Real Madrid are only looking for a backup option to support Ferland Mendy so they are unlikely to spend anywhere near that amount to snap up Tierney.

Arsenal would also be very reluctant to sell their first-choice left-back and, after signing the Scottish international for £25m, they would surely demand too much for Real to seriously consider a move for the player. Take this story with a large pinch of salt.
