Celtic Told They Would Be Getting An “Exceptional” Talent If They Snap Up Teenager Sensation Ahead Of EPL Rivals

Cliftonville coach Paddy McLaughlin says young winger Sean Moore is “going to be a star” after watching his displays for the Northern Irish Premiership side.

The 17-year-old has 30 appearances in all competitions this season, scoring five goals and providing three assists. His performances have attracted the interest of Celtic, West Ham and Newcastle. Asked about the teenager’s potential, McLaughlin said the sky really is the limit:

“(Moore is a) special talent. He’s going to be a star and it’s there for all to see. Anybody who’s been watching our games can see that his ability is exceptional. And that’s why he’s been getting so much attention off the pitch.”

It was confirmed last month that Cliftonville did receive an offer from West Ham for Moore, but the £200,000 bid was deemed to be too low.

From the sound of things, there is likely to be more interest in the Northern Ireland Under 18 international when the summer transfer window opens.

Celtic do have strong links with Irish teams, having recruited the likes of Liam Scales from Shamrock Rovers and Jonny Kenny from Sligo Rovers in recent years so we shall see if they can get a deal in place for Moore.
