Celtic are one of three teams keeping tabs on Rennes right-back Brandon Soppy, according to Eurosport France reporter Manu Lonjon.
It is, though, believed that RB Leipzig are the team pressing ahead with a move for the 18-year-old, with the Hoops and Ligue One side Nice trailing behind them.
Soppy is reportedly valued at around €8m (£7.4m) and considering Celtic are well-stocked on the right-hand side of defence, it would be a surprise if they are interested in signing the defender.
The fullback is a talented player, having been a regular for France at Under 18 level, as well as playing a key role helping the national side clinch third place in the U17 World Cup back in November.
Even so, Soppy has no first-team experience, and with the Hoops already having Jeremie Frimpong in their squad, who is also a young promising teenager, shelling out on another right-back wouldn’t make a lot of sense.
