Celtic vs Dunfermline – Match Preview, Predicted XI, Match Odds

Celtic host Dunfermline Athletic on Saturday as they hope to put their Champions League woes behind them in the Scottish Cup.

Celtic crashed out of the Champions League qualifiers this week after losing against CFR Cluj in the second leg of their qualifier.

It is a disappointing result that will leave a bitter taste in the mouths of supporters for some time, but a win against Dunfermline might soften the blow.

The Pars have had a good start to the season, drawing both of their opening two fixtures. Stevie Crawford’s side still searches for its first win of the Championship season, but they have won 3 of their 4 League Cup group stage games, scoring 13 goals whilst only conceding 3.

It’s unlikely that Celtic will field their strongest XI for this game, and it would be some sort of minor miracle of Dunfermline took something from the game on Saturday.

The sides haven’t met since 2012, but Celtic have won all of their last 10 clashes. Dunfermline Athletic last beat Celtic in November 2005.
