Chelsea Join Arsenal As Battle Heats Up To Sign Celtic Teenage Sensation

Chelsea are the latest major European club to take an interest in Celtic winger Karamoko Dembele, according to 90min.com. The website reports that the Blues will make a bid for the 16-year-old when their transfer ban is lifted.

It was claimed last month that Arsenal, Paris Saint-Germain, Juventus and Borussia Dortmund were all tracking the England Under 17 international’s progress.

Dembele has already made his debut for the senior side, having come on for the second half against Hearts in the 2-1 league win back in May. He has, though, not featured for the first team since then.

The teenager did sign a new contract last year which should prevent the likes of Chelsea trying to lowball the Hoops, and it remains to be seen if any official approach will be made by the English club.

Under their current transfer embargo, the Blues will only be able to sign players once again next summer, but they are reportedly appealing against their ban in the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
