Chris Sutton Names The Two Celtic Stars Who “Are Almost As Good As New Signings” This Season

Ex-Celtic striker Chris Sutton has praised both Anthony Ralston and Tom Rogic for the starts they have made to the new season.

Neither was expected to feature regularly for the first team but manager Ange Postecoglou has managed to get the best out of the pair; something that has shocked Sutton:

“Anthony Ralston and Tom Rogic have been so surprising they are almost as good as new signings.”

Ralston has looked like a man on a mission this campaign. He definitely feels like he has something to prove, and the right-back will need to continue his rich vein of form if he is to hold off a challenge from Josip Juranovic for his starting spot.

In terms of Rogic, many felt that the Australian international’s best days were behind him, considering the sheer number of injuries he has suffered in recent years.

However, the 28-year-old has already made 11 appearances in all competitions this season, and it looks like the midfielder will be an important squad player for Postecoglou.
