Celtic forward Albian Ajeti scored a brace as Ange Postecoglou’s side recorded a relatively comfortable 3-0 win over Ross County at the weekend.
The Swiss international has been used sparingly so far this campaign, but he managed to slot away two headers in the space of 15 minutes during the second half on Saturday.
While some fans on Twitter were delighted to see Ajeti return to form, others were worried by the 24-year-old’s overall display heading into the clash against Real Betis on Thursday night:
I think he will gets better under Ange. I think a real poacher like Ajeti could be a great asset for us and it’s where we’ve missed for a few years.
He got out into the team and scored twice and got us a 3 points.

I'd love him to do well & we need him to but it was Ross County,I think his all round game just isn't good enough to be first pick & we paid far too much for him.

He was frustrating to watch today but ultimately he kept at and scored twice which says alot. Bound to do his confidence good.

One swallow does not make a summer. His overall play was poor.

Im not gonna say he had an excellent game or did anything special to change minds but as you say he came in and got 2 goals. The 1st was an absolute cracker and the 2nd strikers instinct of being in right place at right time. Cant ask for anymore than that

Hes a poacher and will get goals if fed into him in the box. Modern day play demands more but im happy he will score if given a chance. Hopefully georgio is a runner and we have kyogo. Looks good👍💚💚

If you cant see his general play and lack of movement off the ball causes problems for our build up play theres no hope for you.
Abada goes through, hits the side net – check Ajetis movement inside. It was deplorable. Just one example of many today.

People forget ajeti got off to a flyer last year and were gutted when he was missing the first Rangers game.

He was rotten today though.
At least he was in the right positions for his two tap ins though. Suppose that's something.— G (@GJS2010) September 11, 2021
Ajeti is a divisive figure among supporters for a reason. He rarely gets involved in build-up play, but he does have the knack of being in the right place at the right time to score goals.
Being a poacher is all well and good, but it is debatable whether the Hoops can afford to carry someone like that in the starting eleven. With Kyogo Furuhashi injured and Giorgos Giakoumakis not match fit, it seems Ajeti may have to be given more starts in upcoming fixtures.
