EPL Club Set To Return With Second Bid For Celtic Star After £15m Offer Is Rejected

Arsenal will make a second bid for Celtic left-back Kieran Tierney in the next few days, according to reports in the UK.

The Hoops have already rejected a £15m offer from the Premier League club, but it appears that they have not given up on their pursuit

The Gunners are believed to have offered four players in Eddie Nketiah, Carl Jenkinson, Jordi Osei-Tutu and Emile Smith Rowe as part of their first proposal.

However, Celtic want an offer closer to their valuation, which is reportedly £25m. It remains to be seen whether Arsenal’s next bid for Tierney will be closer to the asking price.

Napoli have also been credited with an interest in the fullback, while Inter Milan, Manchester United, Tottenham and Leicester have also been linked with the 22-year-old in the past.

Manager Neil Lennon has admitted that he expects offers for Tierney, but he is hopeful of keeping him at Celtic Park this summer:

“For someone so young, Kieran already has vast experience – he’s played Champions League, Europa League, internationals and he’s won trophies.”

“I don’t think he would fear going anywhere but, personally, it would be a wrench for him because the club means so much to him. However, we’ll cross that bridge if and when we come to it but we don’t want to lose him.’
