Celtic winger Sead Haksabanovic’s cameo performance helped the Hoops overcome ten-man Hibernian on Saturday.
The Montenegrin international came on for the final ten minutes and scored a fine goal to seal a 3-1 victory in injury time.
Haskabanovic has rarely been handed starts by manager Ange Postecoglou and fans on Twitter have been discussing whether the 23-year-old should be given more opportunities:
Haksabanovic is far too good to be on the bench.

So skillful and frightening at times. Rarely misplaces a pass. Young too. A huge talent 💚

He had his chance to prove it when he started and he was annonymous good option off the bench for now

I think he should get the 30 minutes every game when he played the full game he doesn’t suit our all out attack

I think he’s better coming off the bench, more of an impact against a tiring defence.

As some supporters have mentioned, Haksabanovic hasn’t exactly impressed when named in the starting eleven this season. When he was selected to play in the Scottish Cup quarter-final tie against Hearts, he was taken off before the hour mark.
Some players simply make more of an impact from the bench and, from what we have seen from Haksabanovic since he arrived last summer, it seems he is more comfortable in that role. Whether that will change as his Celtic career progresses, though, we shall have to wait and see.
