Four Celtic Stars Who Could Be Poached By Other Teams This Summer

Outside of Celtic Park

Celtic’s season may have been cut short because of the Coronavirus outbreak but the Hoops have once again proven they are the cream of the crop in Scotland.

The performances of some of their players have no doubt come to the attention of clubs from the English Premier League and right across Europe.

Chief Executive Peter Lawwell and the club’s board are known to sell their key stars for the right price and while fans would like to keep this squad together, there will inevitably be one or two who may move on to pasture’s new.

Press the “next page” as we look at the four stars who are the likeliest to be poached by other teams in the summer.

Odsonne Edouard

Even manager Neil Lennon has acknowledged that the Frenchman could leave in the not too distant future but it will be a sizeable transfer fee when he does exit Parkhead.

The likes of Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal have all been mentioned as possible destinations for Edouard, who has scored 27 goals and provided 15 assists in 45 appearances this campaign.

Callum McGregor

Many see the midfielder as Scott Brown’s successor as club captain and while it is unlikely that the board would sanction a sale, there is certainly interest in the 26-year-old.

Leicester City, under the management of Brendan Rodgers, reportedly tried to sign McGregor last year, and they have been tipped to make another bid this summer.

Kristoffer Ajer

Comments from the centre-back’s agent in recent days do suggest that the defender is one of the likeliest players to leave the club at the end of the season.

AC Milan are the team who have been most heavily linked with Ajer, but the Hoops are likely to slap a large price tag on the Norwegian international, who has over two years left on his current deal.

Olivier Ntcham

The Frenchman did flirt with a move away from Celtic last summer, with the likes of Marseille and Porto having been linked with the attacking midfielder.

Since then, West Ham have also been suggested as a possible next club, but Ntcham will not be sold without a significant bid being made for the player, who has been an important part of Neil Lennon’s plans this campaign.
