‘Get Him In!’ ‘The Best We Can Hope For’ Fans Call On Celtic To Hire 43 Year Old As Pressure Builds On Lennon

Following Celtic’s abject 0-0 draw against Livingston at the weekend, there are growing calls for Neil Lennon to step down as manager.

With hopes of ten in a row all but extinguished, supporters are desperate to see a shake-up, both in the backroom staff and in the hierarchy of the club.

Former Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe remains among the favourites to replace Lennon and fans on Twitter are mostly behind the 43-year-old taking up the reins:

It remains to be seen how majority shareholder Dermot Desmond will go about things. There have been reports that CEO Peter Lawwell will step down at the end of the season so a decision on a new manager may have to wait until then.

There are, of course, no guarantees that Howe will still be available by then and, currently, the club seems prepared for a lengthy period of inaction until the summer, which won’t please supporters in the slightest.
