Celtic striker Oh Hyeon-Gyu scored his first goal for the Hoops in the 5-1 win over St Mirren at the weekend.
The South Korean international tapped home from close range to score the third goal 15 minutes after coming on as a substitute during the Scottish Cup tie.
While Oh has only made four appearances off the bench so far since moving to Scotland last month, there are plenty of fans on Twitter who feel the club have found a gem of a player:
Heβs going to be a Force to be reckoned with HH πππ

The more game time the better, he could be prolific given the chance, HH

Joe Hart called him a handful, think we seen why. Couple of good dig in tackles and won the ball,a big unit as well

Trust Ange in the market

From the 20+ minutes Ive seen of him, he looks like he is going to be a handful. Once he is up to full speed and deeper into the team he is going to pounce on any loose balls and sink them.
Maybe another 20+ goals a season player.— James Irvine (@BUDDHA_djis1) February 12, 2023
It’s probably wise not to get too carried away. After all, Oh hasn’t started a game for his new club so far, but the early signs are promising.
Despite his limited minutes, the South Korean has looked good shielding the ball, using his strength to hold off defenders and deliver accurate, quick passes. He also has the work rate and the ability to make decent runs behind the backline, which suggests that forward has all the makings of being a great addition to Ange Postecoglou‘s squad.
