Greek Giants Plotting Move For Two Celtic Players This Summer

Panathinaikos are keen on signing both Lewis Morgan and Mikey Johnston on loan this summer, according to reports.

The Greek side’s technical director is Nikos Dabizas. The former defender made appearances for both Newcastle and Leicester City and has extensive contacts in the UK.

He has reportedly already scouted Johnston, but it is now being reported that he would be keen on Morgan as well.

The winger made just one start for Celtic before being loaned out to English League One side Sunderland for the second half of last season.

During his spell at the Black Cats, he made 22 appearances, scoring two goals and contributing four assists.

Manager Neil Lennon may want to see Morgan in action during preseason before deciding whether to loan him out again.

With regards to Johnston, the 20-year-old scored twice on the final day of last season, and his impressive performances would likely mean he will stay put.
