Hearts Vs Celtic: Match Preview And Injury News

With the Scottish Premiership title all but sewn up, Celtic will be looking to take a victory tour in their last few fixtures – starting with Hearts on Sunday, April 7.

Celtic are set to be without James Forrest, Alistair Johnston and Cameron Carter-Vickers for their game against Hearts. On top of this, Liel Abada could also miss out – he was absent for the Celts’ last game against Rangers in the Scottish Cup.

In their last Scottish Premiership game, the Bhoys faltered to a 1-1 draw at home to Motherwell. They scored first, thanks to a deflected strike from Callum McGregor, but Hearts pulled level in the second half with a goal from Kevin Van Veen – the Celts were unable to muster a winning goal.

Meanwhile, Hearts picked up a massive win last time out, as they destroyed Ross County by a score of 6-1. It was a total rout, as top goalscorer Lawrence Shankland scored a hattrick en route to their dominant victory.

When the two teams last met back in March, Celtic defeated the Edinburgh club by a score of 3-1. Hearts took the lead early on through Josh Ginnelly, but Celtic battled back – their goals were scored by Daizan Maeda, Kyogo Furuhashi and Sead Haksabanovic.
