Celtic are among a whole host of teams who have enquired about taking Wolves winger Daniel Podence on loan ahead of next season, according to reports in the English media.
The Portuguese international was only signed for £17m from Olympiakos in the January transfer window, but he only made his first league start for his new club in the 3-0 win against Everton at the weekend.
Supporters on Twitter have been debating whether Podence would be a good addition to the squad:
He's a cracking player from the 3 games I've seen him in, Gary Neville called it himself, He is a similar player to Eden Hazard (in terms of playstyle)

Looks like a robbie Keane sort of player '
That's what we need this year— Scott Carrick (@ScottCarrick1) July 12, 2020
We got Moi for left wing and also klimala is supposed to be doing well as a winger

This would be good business. Alot like Elyounoussi, would be getting high standard player that cost close to 20 millions that hasn't had a chance in the Prem.

just what we need, to help more english clubs players rise in value ffs

No, no, no. Don't need another left winger.

After signing Mohamed Elyounoussi on loan, snapping up another winger will not be manager Neil Lennon’s top priority. It could well be the case that Celtic made an enquiry to Wolves about Podence before they snapped up the Southampton star.
The Hoops’ focus will be on signing a goalkeeper, another centre-back and possibly a striker if Leigh Griffiths is unable to prove his fitness. At this stage, a move for Podence looks pretty unlikely, especially after his performance for Wolves yesterday.
