Reports in Portugal claim that Moussa Marega will definitely be leaving Porto this summer.
Most have assumed that the striker will be moving to an English Premier League club such as West Ham, but a Twitter photo of a Celtic shirt with Marega’s name on it has been doing the rounds:
MAREGA NO CELTIC!
Um amigo meu que faz parte de um dos maiores fóruns de adeptos do Celtic mandou-me esta foto de hoje (loja oficial do Celtic) e disse-me que o negócio já está fechado por 25M£ pic.twitter.com/Vq9GoWiql7

Subsequently, there has been talk that the Hoops could swoop in for the Mali international with a bid of £25m, but supporters don’t believe the rumours for one minute:
It cannot be true. Can’t be. He’s box office.

Do you think that this price maybe includes Ntcham going the other way so we will maybe only pay 10-15M? (still a ton a money for us) if it is true, this is maybe the only way I see it working

This is laughable. Why do we do this to ourselves? Celtic will convince media we are after Marega and then sign Uche Ikpeazu.

Must be season ticket renewal day soon ?

The guy is 28 years old. No way we’d spend that money on a player that old

Biggest load of pish I’ve seen on here. Absolutely no chance

Laughable stuff, he was on our radar 4 years ago whilst at Marítimo. Think his goals record in Champions League for Porto and price puts him well out of our reckoning plus no sell on value

Celtic won’t spend £25m between now and 10-in-a-row…fact!
— JD (@Jamesdoc1977) May 14, 2019
Not happening ?
— Rogic Lifetime Contract CSC (@sellik88) May 13, 2019
Ridiculous rumour, someone has even changed his Wikipedia page to include Celtic ?♂️

Marega’s goalscoring record in Portugal for Porto is excellent. He has scored 21 goals and laid on 11 assists in 45 matches this season.
However, considering he would cost a huge transfer fee, any deal would presumably have to include a Celtic player or two for a transfer to go ahead.
Even then, the likelihood of the Celtic board approving such a bid for a player who is 28 years of age seems very low indeed.
